  11. The goal of StayAlive is to keep your applications running when they crash, 
  12. allowing you to save your work and exit the application gracefully.  
  13. In fulfilling this goal we hope that StayAlive makes you more productive and 
  14. removes the frustration of losing hours of work when an application crashes.
  15.  
  16. We set ourselves some steep objectives in developing StayAlive because we wanted 
  17. to make your life as a software user simpler.  We certainly didnÆt want you to pay 
  18. a high price for increased software reliability, since you, as a customer, 
  19. should have been able to expect that in the first instance.

  23. ╖    StayAlive works in the majority of application crash scenarios.
  24. ╖    StayAlive has a small memory requirement.
  25. ╖    StayAlive has a negligible (approaching zero) speed impact on your system.
  26. ╖    StayAlive should never make matters worse.

  29. Installing StayAlive

  32. From a Zip Archive

  35. If you received StayAlive as a zip archive you should first use your unzip
  36. program to extract the program files.  We recommend that you unzip the files
  37. to a new directory.

  39. Having unzipped the files, you should run the executable file (e.g. sa21tr.exe).  
  40. You can do this by double-clicking on the file from Windows Explorer.

  42. From a Self Extracting Executable
  43. ---------------------------------

  45. If you received StayAlive as an executable file (e.g. sa21.exe) then you can simply
  46. double-click on this file from Windows Explorer.  StayAlive will guide you through
  47. the rest of the installation process.
